[ Fun with Erica and Matt ] – Engagement Shoot Part I

Being stuck on a plane for 16 hours wasn’t that fun, but one good thing actually came through. I got to finish some photo editing and put together some blog posts. This set of engagement photos of Erica and Matt really made me smile.

As we strolled around the park, we encountered this awesome band playing some music in front of a big audience. I knew this would make a wonderful picture and asked if Erica and Matt would be up for dancing in front of the band AND in front of everyone around. With out any hesitation, they both agreed and started dancing. I love it!! After taking few frames, the song ended. As it turned out, that was the last song for the day. But this picture came out to be my favorite shot from this shoot.

Before the shoot, I mentioned to Erica and Matt that I would like the photos to be as personal as possible. So I told them that I am completely open to any ideas they may have and they should feel free to bring any props they like.

Matt came up with an idea of them reading on the bench and just enjoying their time in the park. He took out two thick books from his bag. I mean they were thick!! But the only problem is Erica really wasn’t into this whole idea. I then said to Erica, “Why don’t you pretend that you find this book fascinating?” She acted it out and we all laughed out loud.

Erica is from New York. Matt is from Boston. Despite of this baseball rivalry, it was love that brought them together. And these are their game faces. =)

Congratulations, Erica and Matt! It was a lot of fun photographing you guys!
